For over 50 years, Byfords has been involved in the quarrying industry, operating five full-time quarries and several part-time quarries throughout the Lower North Island.
We are one of the largest suppliers to the roading and local contracting industries.
We produce all types of aggregate, including basecourse and sealing chip. By operating our own aggregate testing laboratory, we can ensure that the product complies with TNZ specifications.
Along side our roading aggregate, we have developed quality, colourful landscaping stones.
Our professional, yet friendly and relaxed style of management fosters loyalty, and thus, experience, within our workforce. Several foremen have been with Byfords for over 20 years.
We take a lot of pride in our products, whether it be landscaping stones, or roading metal. We will always perform to the best of our ability, to ensure you, the customer, receive quality product.
The majority of our quality, colourful stones are produced in the Waiotaka Road quarry at Turangi, and at the Toe Toe Road quarry south of Taihape.
